This is a private two days tour in the village of Delphi, Kalambaka town and Meteora Monasteries. 

With this service you get to meet the Archaeological site of Delphi where the oracle was, the picturesque village of Arachova, the battlefield of Thermopylae, the nice town of Kalambaka and the extraordinary Meteora Monasteries.

The price above is only for the vehicle and does not include any tour guide, hotel accommodation or entry tickets.

You can choose a professional tour guide to accompany you in the tour at your preferred language at extra cost and upon agreement.

You will get the entry tickets for the sights from the driver who will collect the amount of the price in cash.

The following itinerary is indicative and can be modified upon agreement.

Itinerary:

Day 1

The tour starts from Athens city center (or from your hotel upon agreement) where the coach will pick you up with the tour guide (if selected).

Heading towards the northern part of Greece crossing the plain of Boeotia where we meet the very important for the ancient era city of Thebes, birthplace of the great ancient king Oedipus. 

We make a quick stop after 1 30 hours of driving and we continue our drive towards the beautiful Parnassos Mountain where we find the picturesque village of Arachova, one of the most beautuful in Greece.

Arrival at the village of Delphi, where it was the place of worship of the god Apollo but also the "center" of the world as you will learn during the tour from the licensed guide at the archaeological site and the museum of Delphi. (if selected)

After the end of the visit, we stop for lunch at a local restaurant selected for the authenticity of Greek cuisine. After lunch we start our drive north with our destination to be the town of Kalambaka where we will arrive aproximately after 4 hours of driving and one stop for rest.

Arrival in the town of Kalambaka late in the afternoon and the first day ends with the check-in at the hotel of your choise. (upon consultation)

Day 2

Waking up in the beautuful town of Kalambaka where we have breakfast until 9 o'clock when we check out and depart from the hotel. We are heading towards the Meteora Monasteries where we visit 2 of the most important with a guided tour. (if selected)

The route up to the Monasteries is magnificent with a breathtaking scenery. Of course there will be plenty of photo stops to enjoy the view and experience this unique landscape.

After the visit in two Monasteries and a lot of photo stops it will be lunch time. Heading back to the town of Kalambaka so we can enjoy a traditional meal with local products.

When finished we board on the bus and start our long drive back to Athens. On our way we will have two more stops for rest. In one of the stops we will visit with the tour guide (if selected) the battlefield of Thermopylae where the 300 Spartans fought bravely against a much bigger army of Persians in 480BC.

After our last visit we depart for Athens and the pick up point where the tour ends.
